🧠 About the Fun Facts Dude
I’m the Fun Facts Dude — part trivia nerd, part myth-buster, part philosopher.
I have a background in philosophy, with a focus on reasoning and logic, which basically means I’ve spent years studying how people believe things… and how they often believe them for the wrong reasons.
This site exists because I’m endlessly fascinated by that.
What is FunFactsDude.com?
It’s a place to explore:
- The things we think we know
- The “facts” we’ve repeated without question
- The strange, delightful, sometimes disturbing truths hiding underneath everyday knowledge
Some of the posts are short. Some are deeper dives. Some are just little reminders that “you can’t always trust what sounds familiar.”
What kinds of things do I write about?
- ❌ Debunked trivia (The Harvard goal-setting study? Never happened.)
- 🧠 Misunderstood science (No, you don’t only use 10% of your brain.)
- 🏺 History with weird corners (Like how Bluetooth is named after a Viking king.)
- 🐙 Animal oddities (Why sea cucumbers puke their guts, and other joy.)
Basically, if it’s widely accepted but smells a little off, I dig into it.
Why does any of this matter?
Because fun facts aren’t just fun — they shape how we see the world.
And when a little misinformation hides inside something “harmless,” it spreads fast.
If we don’t question the small things, how can we hope to question the big ones?
So yes, this site is entertaining. But it’s also a quiet argument for skepticism, curiosity, and better thinking — disguised as trivia.
